What a fabulous surprise we had visiting this lovely part of Europe. We set off from Gatwick and landed at Burgas airport. One of our customers was flying for the first time, and he was very impressed with the whole experience. Our coach transfer was waiting, and very soon we were on our way by road, for the 45 minute journey to our hotel the Festa Panorama, which is located in a small modern seaside resort near to the beach and ancient town. Our rooms were on the ground floor, and due to our late arrival the reception staff informed our party that sandwiches and drinks had been prepared for us, a lovely gesture which we enjoyed in our rooms. Our rooms had large balconies with great views of the sea, wet rooms and twin comfortable beds. The hotel also provides a variety of activities for guests that include health and Spa centre, indoor heated pool, steam baths, beauty centre and solarium. There was also two pools outdoors, with snack bar, drinks and ice creams.
We decided to share cost of taxi for our trips out to other resorts and places of interest, as this worked out much cheaper than the reps prices.
Throughout our week we visited: Burgas, which is the second main port on the Black Sea. It has a huge park which is famous for the city’s many statues and sand sculpture competions. Pomorie, is a small town located on a rocky peninsula. It is famous for it’s lagoon which has healing properties found in the special mud. Sunny Beach, is a huge resort . The Old Town of Nesebar which is beautiful, and has cobbled streets and buildings that date back from 15th century, and is a popular tourist attraction.
Other activities : sailing around the bay of Nesebar, visiting the Balkanski Circus which was amazing, Vlas and Khan’s tent.
We certainly packed a lot into our week and we had a great time.
We would certainly recommend this venue as it was good value for money; the weather was beautiful after the first day, with temperatures rising to 31 degrees.
